Huntsville Art League Huntsville Alabama A Place You Should Know
3005 L&N Dr. Ste. 2
Huntsville, AL 35801
Let me begin by thanking the Huntsville Art League's director Walt Schumacher for allowing me the opportunity to photograph members art work on display and write this blog. Also Claire Mikkelsen and Martina Svoboda for taking the time to answer my question's and pointing out some of beautiful art work on display. A special thanks goes out to Julie Ellsworth for inviting me to a show exhibiting her works as well as others associated with the Huntsville Art League. It's also worth mentioning that one of Julie's works is on display in a juried competition along with seven other members at the Huntsville Museum of Art called "Imagine Tomorrow". That show run's through September 5, 2010.
There were many works of art at HAL that I enjoyed priced from as little as $10 to a few thousand...the following are just a few that caught my eye.
Done in pastel Megan Mitchell's whimsical Frog.
The bowl on the left is titled Rasberry by Dwight Hostetter and the pine needle and walnut shell bowl on the right is by Ethel Owen.
"Clouds over Pontchatrain" in oil by Hal Cronkhite.
If you would like to see more of Julie's work you know what to do! The horses really are quite good.
This wonderful piece was done by Caroline Wang, a NASA software engineer.
Photographic memory by Maria West, uses a Hawkeye camera, 35mm film, flash cubes and spent flash bulbs (for the eyes) to get it's point across.
Are you moving to the Huntsville or Madison Alabama area and need an agent that knows the area...why don't you let me Google that for you.
